No. “Languages” is not for real. That one is a gag,created from hearing different languages in different places (including the doctor’s office) and the result of playing around with “what if?” scenarios in my head. It’s a gag-writing process I’ve been applying for many years. Thanks for liking it and a couple more quips.
You’re right. I wish it HAD actually happened. Most quips by ANYONE are either totally made up or exaggerations of true events. Exaggeration is one of about 7 staples of humor construction. I won’t bore you with the rest. I’ve written them for comedians, cartoonists, and publications that are either dead or out of business. Now I write them on a blog and appreciate readers such as you and others. Thank you, always
